When you donate to the San Diego Animal Support Foundation, you don't just help one group, you help dozens of local animal rescue groups and shelters. We have several ways for you to make a tax deductible donation!
The Foundation has featured more than 21 different local non-profit groups on television in the last couple of years. Why do we do this? Because we know that keeping adoptable pets in the public eye reminds everyone that there great animals needing loving homes every day! The Foundation is never even mentioned on television...only the groups we help! Most people don't even know that we're the ones working with the stations to put these segments together! You may see us every day on TV, you just don't know who we are! Additionally, the money we collect is disseminated locally to some of the hardest working, under funded organizations in San Diego. Some of the non-profit groups we offer grants to, are directly responsible for rescuing thousands of animals per year, with absolutely NO paid employees or overhead. So a large chunk of your donation money is not taken out for large administrative fees or investments. Our Board evaluates grant submissions and funds programs that will give the biggest benefit for the dollar, such as spay/neuter vouchers and programs to reduce pet overpopulation, and purchasing necessary items to help sheltered and fostered animals. All of the money for these grants comes from your generous donations!
When you call the San Diego Animal Support Foundation, we will schedule a time to pick up your vehicle. We provide you with a release of liability when we take your vehicle, and after the car sells, we send you with a tax-deduction form that explains how much we received for your car. (Note: for cars that sell for less than $500, we do not need to send you a form, but you are still able to deduct up to $500 in taxes! See your tax-professional for details). But best of all, by not selling your car yourself, you don't have to worry about total strangers calling you to get information about where you live, or coming to your house to see the vehicle. Donating your car is much safer! Additionally, you don't have to place a costly ad that may not generate a single phone call. And when you donate a car, you know you'll get it off your property within a couple of days, clearing out much needed garage, driveway or yard space. You won't have to wait weeks or even months for a buyer to come along. Please call 619-847-8755. We'll take your car, truck, boat or RV working or not!
