SAN DIEGO, November 4, 2010 On Saturday, Dec. 11 and Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, Santa Paws will visit Kimpton's Hotel Solamar and invite pet guests and local four-legged friends to sleigh by for holiday photos with Santa. Human companions will enjoy refreshments amid festive décor while furry friends enjoy treats and toys in the hotel's living room-style lobby.
"Santa Paws is bringing holiday cheer to our two- and four-legged guests and neighbors," said Mark Dibella, General Manager of Kimpton's Hotels Solamar. "Pet patrons always receive special pampering at Kimpton's Hotel Solamar, which is why we want to offer them this special way to celebrate the season."
Keeping the Downtown pet-lover in mind, condo-friendly dogs from Chihuahua Rescue, Operation Greyhound Rescue and more will be available for adoption at the event! Dogs chosen to attend the event will be indoor-only dogs who don't need or want a large backyard of their own, but are happy just hanging out with their owners inside, with daily walks, of course.
In addition to providing a fun afternoon activity for pets and their owners, Santa Paws is also an opportunity for Kimpton's Hotel Solamar to get involved and partner with a local organization. Kimpton's Hotel Solamar will be partnering with San Diego Animal Support Foundation.
Santa Paws will be available from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the hotel lobby on Dec. 11 and 12. Owners can bring their own camera or Kimpton's Hotel Solamar will capture a photo of their pet in Santa's lap at no cost. Santa Paws is free and open to the public.
