The San Diego Animal Support Foundation is a private, volunteer dependent, nonprofit (501c3) organization dedicated to improving the welfare of animals in overburdened, under funded local shelters and rescues through events, fundraising campaigns, and a car donation program. |
Our mission is to is to actively promote the proper care and treatment of animals, as well as encourage the adoption of shelter/rescue pets with the cooperation of the local media. Additionally, we help local rescue organizations pay for spay/neuter surgeries, fund imperative animal welfare projects, recruit volunteers, and maintain a small medical fund to help pets in need of emergency treatment. We support more than 28 local nonprofits. With the exception of one part time employee, all SDASF members are volunteers. |
